Privacy Policy
This policy explains how TrackWrench, a product provided by Monttrek LLC, handles information when you use the TrackWrench iPhone application.
TrackWrench data
TrackWrench stores the track-day information you enter locally on your device using Apple’s local persistence technology. This information may include:
- vehicle information
- track events and sessions
- tire-pressure readings
- manually entered lap times
- setup changes
- driver notes
TrackWrench does not provide accounts, a cloud backend, or TrackWrench-operated cloud synchronization. Local app data may still be affected by Apple platform backup, restore, transfer, and device-management behavior.
Product analytics
TrackWrench uses PostHog to understand product usage and improve the app. These analytics are pseudonymous, device-level analytics and may use a persistent distinct identifier generated by the analytics software.
Analytics events may describe app opens and onboarding, creation of a car or track event, session logging, setup-change and comparison usage, paywall interactions, and purchase results. Event properties are limited to fixed categories, booleans, session numbers, product identifiers, and coarse count ranges.
TrackWrench does not intentionally send driver notes, track names, vehicle names or make/model information, tire-pressure values, lap-time values, setup values, or setup-change free text to PostHog.
PostHog processes analytics data on TrackWrench’s behalf. Learn more in PostHog’s privacy information. TrackWrench does not state a specific analytics retention period in this policy.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. TrackWrench does not receive your payment-card credentials. The app receives purchase and entitlement information needed to determine whether TrackWrench Pro has been purchased.
Accounts
TrackWrench does not currently provide user accounts.
Location, advertising, and tracking
The current app does not request GPS or precise location data, include an advertising SDK, access the advertising identifier, or use data for cross-app advertising tracking.
Sale of information
TrackWrench does not sell personal information.
Data control
Deleting the app normally removes its local app container, subject to Apple platform backup and restore behavior. The current app does not provide a general in-app data-export or account-deletion mechanism because it has no TrackWrench account.
For questions or requests relating to analytics information, contact support@monttrek.co. TrackWrench does not currently provide an automated privacy-request mechanism.
Children
TrackWrench is not directed to children. The app does not implement an age-gating system.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as TrackWrench changes. The date above identifies the latest published version.
